50 expat creators in France for a property portal
Ibanista, a London-based financial services firm serving expats moving to France, needed English-speaking creators actually living in France — not French creators, and not expats living elsewhere.
The problem
Ibanista is a London financial services company handling currency exchange and relocation for people buying property in France. For a campaign on their property portal they needed to reach US and UK creators who had actually relocated to France and were making content about that life.
The qualifying test was narrow, and it is where most lists of this kind fail:
- Creators who are French and make content in English do not qualify — the audience is wrong.
- Creators who are US or UK expats but live in Spain or Portugal do not qualify.
- Accounts that talk about moving to France without living there do not qualify.
Only someone from the US or UK, currently resident in France, producing content in English, meets the brief.
What we did
- Define the qualifying test in writing first
Agreed with the client before any research: nationality, current country of residence, content language, and platform. Ambiguity here is what produces a list the client rejects.
- Search across platforms, not one
YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Creators who relocate rarely publish on a single platform, and cross-referencing is what confirms residence.
- Verify residence from the content itself
Location tags alone are unreliable. We checked recent uploads for consistent evidence of living in France — local admin, regional references, day-to-day content — rather than trusting a bio field.
- Capture seven fields per creator
Name, primary platform, subscriber or follower count, Instagram handle, TikTok handle, verified contact email, and profile URL.
The result
Fifty qualified creators delivered in three days, with verified contact emails. The client confirmed the list met the brief.
A note on the number. This project has been described elsewhere in our own materials as 97 and as 80–100 creators. The figure sourced from the delivered project record is 50. We have standardised on 50 across the site. A data company that cannot keep its own numbers straight has no business auditing anyone else's.

Questions
About this project
Why not just use an influencer database?
Databases index by platform category and follower count. They do not reliably know that a creator is a US national currently living in France. That combination has to be verified from the content, which is manual work.
How do you verify a creator actually lives where they say?
Recent uploads, not the bio. Consistent evidence across several posts of daily life in the country - local administration, regional detail, language context. A single location tag proves nothing.
Is Ibanista named with permission?
Ibanista is published as a client on our public Fiverr profile with their logo, which is how the relationship is already disclosed. We have not published a quote or their logo on this site because we have not yet asked for that specific permission.
What does a project like this cost?
Verified research lists start at $350. Price depends on how narrow the qualifying test is and how many fields are needed per record - a tight qualifier costs more per row because more candidates get rejected.
