A letter from the founder
I have worked in data since 2013.
My first job was as a data entry operator at Data Exchange — basic typing that turned into a full-time role over two years. Later I spent fifteen months at Spiceology doing data collection and enrichment, which taught me what accuracy means when someone’s business depends on it.
In June 2020 I started The Data Collection. It did not go smoothly. My first project came in August and I lost it. I lost the second one too.
I didn’t know how to give up. Every cancellation made me more careful. I stopped guessing and started building checklists — the same checklists that became the QC process we still run on every project today.
Within 413 days I had passed $20,000 in earnings on Fiverr and hit the delivery and rating thresholds the platform sets for its top tiers. Today there are ten of us. We have delivered 450 projects, processed over 300,000 records, and hold 282 reviews — 269 of them five stars.
The work hasn’t changed: give people data they can actually trust, and tell them the truth when something goes wrong.

2013

Started with basic typing tasks and progressed to full-time responsibilities through consistent performance. Two years learning what accurate really means when a business depends on it.
2020
Spiceology — data collection & enrichment
Fifteen months as a part-time Data Collection and Data Enrichment Expert, gaining practical experience in research, accuracy and client-focused delivery.
June 2020
The Data Collection founded
Launched on Fiverr. The first project came in August — and was lost. So was the second.
2021
First HubSpot migration
Five Excel sheets, 1,000+ records, 320 duplicates removed. The client had campaign automation running on day three.
413 days in
Passed $20,000 in earnings
Crossed $20,000 in Fiverr earnings, with the delivery and rating record to match.
2022
The team grows to 10
Added LinkedIn Sales Navigator prospecting, ZeroBounce verification and CRM data management. Cleaned a 6,000-record Capsule CRM that had not been touched in six years — delivered ahead of schedule.
2024
Off-marketplace clients
Direct work for clients including Ibanista, a UK financial services firm, alongside recommendations from leaders at Gainsight and Nordic Pirates AB.
2026
450 projects, 300,000+ records
A team of ten, 282 reviews at 4.8 stars, and clients across the US, UK, UAE, Japan and Sweden.

Honesty about timelines
If a project is running late you will hear it from us first. A client in Japan once wrote that the “smooth and honest communication about the timeline was very much appreciated” — that is the standard.
